24.05.31- Galleri Långholmen, Angelica Wiik

Until Sunday June 2, 2024 – Knaperstavägen 5, Långholmen, Stockholm

ABOUT the artists

ABOUT the Gallery

The house here at Långholmen was built in 1830, and has since housed many different businesses. From 2012 there is now a gallery here.

The gallery shows well-mixed lithographic exhibitions, as well as solo exhibitions with artists who worked in our lithographic workshop, and supports the lithographic printing technique.

Printing of lithography

The artist’s work together with a lithographer can be described as building a work of art of different colors. The artist draws everything that should be the same color on a grainy plastic, then the color is printed on a paper, the artist then draws the next color and the next color, until the picture is complete. The artist can also use the possibility of pressing the colors on each other, to create new colors and shades.

If you are interested in printing lithography, or have questions about it, you are welcome to contact us on +46 8-716 56 06.

Lumphé Lithographic

Långholmen is a fantastic environment to create art in. Here you can print lithographs in peace and quiet.

The workshop was started in 2007 by the printer Björn Lumphé, who has since printed lithographs with many of Sweden’s greatest artists.

Björn started printing lithographs at the beginning of the 1990s at the former Nilsen’s lithography, at the same time as he was studying at the art school’s graphics workshop. In 2001, there was a shorter training at the Tamarind Institute in New Mexico.

Petra Wik Öjemark works as a ceramicist and artist. Now Petra works at Lumphé Litografiska and has set up a ceramics workshop in connection with the lithography workshop.
